Why is the lens blocking my iPhone camera?Updated 2 months ago

Main iPhone Camera

The lens is blocking your camera because the native iPhone app comes disabled with the Macro mode. To fix this, please follow the tutorial below:

Telephoto iPhone Camera

Currently, iPhone's dual or triple native camera app does not allow you to separately use the Wide/Telephoto camera. Since the dual camera does not treat each camera independently, you will experience blackouts when switching between them while using any external lens.

We suggest using third-party camera apps of which our favorites are ProCamera for photography and Black Magic Camera app for video. The Lightroom app has a dual lens option on the top right of the app when you open it (see screenshot below). You can switch between the main or secondary camera by a simple tap.

For iPhone 13 and 14 cameras, please take a look at our short video HERE as well.

And one last tip: when using our Telephoto on the secondary camera, as it's very zoomed, you'll want to always tap-to-focus on a subject when you take photos.
