iPhone Camera Blackout ScreenUpdated 10 months ago

Currently, iPhone's dual or triple native camera app does not allow you to separately use the Wide/Telephoto camera. Since the dual camera does not treat each camera independently, you will experience black outs when switching between them while using any external lens.

For iPhone 13 and 14 cameras, please take a look at our short video HERE as well.

We suggest using third-party camera apps of which our favorites are ProCamera for photography and Filmic Pro for video. The Lightroom app has a dual lens option on the top right of the app when you open it (see screenshot below). You can switch between the main or secondary camera by a simple tap.

And one last tip: when using our Telephoto on the secondary camera, as it's very zoomed, you'll want to always tap-to-focus on a subject when you take photos.
