The lens keeps blocking the camera app. What should I do? And which iPhone app should I use?Updated 10 months ago

If you're using the main (primary) wide camera on the iPhone with our lens, we recommend using the native iPhone camera app. For iPhone 13 to current models, the Macro Control mode must be turned on. Easy step by step guide here.

When using the telephoto camera, currently, iPhone's dual or triple native camera app does not allow you to separately use the Wide/Telephoto camera. Since the dual/triple camera does not treat each camera independently, you will experience black outs when switching to the telephoto while using any external lens.

For photos, we suggest using third-party camera apps of which our favorites are ProCameraAdobe Lightroom. You can switch between the main or secondary camera using these apps seamlessly.

For videos, we recommend either Filmic Pro or the new Cinema P3 for iPhone.

And one last tip: when using our Telephoto on the secondary camera, as it's very zoomed, you'll want to always tap-to-focus on a subject when you take photos.
